UrbanTurf: One of the Biggest Residential Projects in Bethesda Gets a Thumbs Up

By Nena Perry-Brown, UrbanTurf

Yesterday, the Montgomery County Planning Board approved what will be one of Bethesda's largest new multifamily developments.

Battery Lane District will include up to 1,130 residential units and 6,000 square feet of non-residential use across five sites on Battery Lane between Old Georgetown Road and Woodmont Avenue. Brown Development, which also developed the existing mid-century residential buildings and 806 units in the Battery Lane District, is the applicant. The Planning Board conditionally approved the sketch plan in December.
